This tender was custom built for Pink Gin, a 152ft Baltic Yachts sloop. One of the requirements was that it fitted into an existing deck-well.
The tender is launched using a spinnaker pole/boom arrangement from a single point lift making it essential that the build weight be kept to 550kg to allow easy launching and recovery.
Patrick Banfield’s Allseas Design Ltd designed the tender. During the build Compass Tenders worked closely with Design Unlimited, the main yacht’s stylist, to ensure that the style and finish were in keeping with the mother ship.
The Evinrude V-Tec 90hp engine was chosen to provide high performance with a weight saving. The boat also incorporates an internal fuel tank. The transom section folds forward with the engine in situ to reduce stowed length.
Stowage was important for this client and alongside spacious cockpit lockers the tender also features a built in coolbox and custom fender stowage racks.
Easy boarding and disembarkation are facilitated with integral steps port and starboard and the boat is fitted with a removable lollipop handrail for added security.
